Great piece about the past year for Netflix. When it happened, I was hoping that users would revolt; they did. Not quite for the reasons or in the way I’d hoped, but the reaction worked out for the best nonetheless.
I hope Netflix does well and learned some much-needed humility. I’m still a subscriber to both streaming and DVDs (Blu-rays, really), and plan to continue being a customer. With a 3-year-old, there’s no question that we use streaming more and because of that, it’s the more valuable of the two offerings for us. That said, I love sitting down with the ultimate in available video and audio and watch a great movie on Blu-ray.
