“Doctor Who to skip Christmas Day for first time in 13 years”
Weird. I wonder why they’d do that. I’ve enjoyed this tradition that started when the series rebooted.

Sounds like a great organization. Joined. You can join here.
I didn’t keep the Xbox One I bought when it first came out, instead deciding to build a PC dedicated for gaming. Mouse and keyboard support was a key benefit for me; I never have been as good with a game controller as I am with a keyboard-and-mouse. Now games need to support it!
I’m depressed that I laughed when I first read this.
RIP
I thought the premiere had a good vibe—a fresh energy that it hasn’t had lately. They subtly celebrated the change, but didn’t overdo it. The new companions seem promising, although I still think there are too many of them. Of the group in this episode, she didn’t take the one I liked the best. Still, it’s a promising start.
I can’t believe they didn’t unveil a new title sequence! I was looking forward to that, and now have to wait until next week. I think BBC leaked the theme a bit with a video they posted to YouTube. I like the return to a classic sounding theme, if so; Capaldi’s theme was terrible.
If you upgrade from OmniFocus 2 to OF 3 (and you should), you might run into this issue with your Service for sending things to the OF inbox. Check out the link for a solution.
This is pretty cool, but one episode a month won’t get me to subscribe months ahead of the new season.
The Verge’s Andrew Liptak threw a few tidbits about Disney’s acquisition of Fox’s Marvel franchises in an also otherwise interesting article about Star Wars.
“He also thought it would make sense for Disney to bring Fox’s X-Men franchises under Marvel’s wing: ‘There shouldn’t be two Marvels.’”
Man, that’s great to hear. I wonder how they’ll mesh the two. Try and write some story that brings the two together, or toss the Fox history and start over? I kind of hope it’s the latter, so we can get a fresh look at the X-Men without the baggage of the bad X-Men movies that have been made.
Finally!
