“The Decisive Moment”
In an interesting coincidence with acquiring a Leica and starting my OC/OL/OY project, my long-ago preordered copy of Henri Cartier-Bresson’s The Decisive Moment came in today. For more on the history, I refer again to The Online Photographer.
I have to say, it’s gorgeous. It may not be gravure printed like the original, but it’s not like I was going to lay out the hundreds of dollars needed to obtain an original copy anyway. It’s bigger than I expected, and the quality—at least to my unspoiled-by-the-original eye—is wonderful. It’ll be a great source of inspiration for my project, I’m sure. Highly recommended.
