Kubo and the Two Strings

Ainsley and I went to see Kubo and the Two Strings and loved it. She’s almost 8, and I’d say that’s about the youngest age who can start to appreciate the melancholy nature of much of the film and the relatively complicated relationships Kubo has with his family. That said, the stop-motion animation is beautiful, and the characters and designs are fabulous, and something that will attract younger kids.

Highly recommended.
